FAQs & Tips

Can people who require a wheelchair or have walking difficulties join your tours?
Unfortunately, for most group tours, we follow a specific path that is not accessible for wheelchairs. Specifically, for the Acropolis tour, wheelchair users must use a lift (which is often out of service) located on the opposite side of the hill. Additionally, individuals with severe walking difficulties may find it challenging to navigate the path leading to the top of the hill, which is 150 meters higher than the level of the city. However, for private tours, the guide can adapt the tour to accommodate specific needs.
Can I bring a stroller for my young child during the tour?
Some archaeological sites, such as the Acropolis, do not allow strollers inside, so they may not be permitted on all tours. For this reason, please let us know in advance so we can help you find a workable solution.
Are your tours suitable for children?
Our tours are designed for anyone with a passion for history and mythology. However, small children can sometimes find it challenging to enjoy a longer tour, especially when it involves standing still and listening quietly to historical discussions that may not capture their interest. In such cases, children may become restless and, unfortunately, this can affect the experience of the rest of the group. If you believe this might apply to your child, we recommend choosing a standard tour instead.
How to prepare myself for the tour?
We kindly advise you to get a good night's sleep before the tour to ensure you can fully enjoy the experience. The walking pace will be moderate, but some people struggle if they are tired or have just arrived by plane and are suffering from jet lag. Have a light breakfast to sustain you, but avoid eating too much. Some guests have reported feeling uncomfortable after eating a heavy meal and then walking up the hills of Athens and the Acropolis.
What to bring with me?
What to Bring on the Tour: Your necessary pharmaceuticals. Comfortable shoes. Sunscreen (especially during the summer months). Hat (especially during the summer months). Water (highly recommended). Please note: Food and drinks (except water) are not allowed. Luggage and large bags are not permitted inside the archaeological site. Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation letter with detailed instructions.
What can I do if I am running late to my tour?
We ask our guests to arrive at the designated meeting point at least 20 minutes before the tour start time. Details and instructions on how to find the meeting point were sent to the email provided at the time of booking. If you have difficulty locating the meeting point, please contact us at +30 6970900101 for further assistance. Please note that if you arrive after the tour has started, unfortunately, you will not be able to join. For more information regarding late arrivals, please refer to our Cancellation Policy.
Do I need to print the confirmation letter?
Your guide will have a list with your name thus it is not necessary to have your confirmation letter in a printed form in order to join the tour. Yet, as the confirmation letter contains important information such as the instruction for you to find the meeting point etc, and sometimes problems with the mobile devices and/or with internet/telecom connection may occur, resulting in you not being able to find the location (or the ticket or our communication details in order to call us) we always suggest to print the confirmation letter and have it with them.
How can I recognize you at the meeting point?
At the arranged meeting point a tour coordinator or your tour guide will be waiting for you. He will be there 30 minutes prior to receive people who are early. You will see an

In which languages do you offer your tours?
Currently we offer our tours only in English, and in Greek if requested.
Should I tip my guide?
In Greece tips/ gratuites are not included in the price. If you have enjoyed the tour and you value the guide’s efforts and the quality of the service he has provided to you, you are always welcome to show your appreciation by leaving a tip at the end of the tour. Usually in Greece it is recommended giving 10-15% of the amount of the total booking price.
It is raining. Will the tour take place?
Yes, our tours will take place rain or shine. The tour will take place in all weather conditions, including rain, as long as the archaeological site is open, unless otherwise advised by the official Greek authorities. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress appropriately. As the climate changes, sporadic rain showers, especially during late spring and early summer, have become more common, though they are still infrequent. In such cases, we recommend bringing an umbrella. However, in the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel the tour for safety reasons. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.
